Leadership Retreats and Programmes

Leadership Retreat - Transitions and Relationships

Work, and life in general, are a series of transitions. The more skilful you are with transitions, the more effective you will be.

The quality of your relationships (with yourself and others) is key to success.

The retreat’s dual themes are transitions and relationships, as in the fast-paced age of fervent technology use, mch believes they are becoming the distinguishing features of the consistently successful managers and leaders.

Despite the amazing opportunities technology offers, it will not prevent life’s transitions, which is why the retreat focuses on the whole self: the physical, mental and emotional. Consequently, participants will be guided on how the likes of nutrition, sleep habits and simply breathing effectively can help with both daily transitions and fundamental ones, such as the menopause and general aging.

Furthermore, technology still falls short of humans in braving the vulnerability needed for trusted relationships. Therefore, in addition to exploring easeful and challenging external relationships, participants will get to know the various ‘characters’ that exist within themselves: the characters that serve them well and those that don’t.

Whilst mch is assisted by a series of human experts, the retreat’s rural location enables participants to learn in, with and from nature. For a fuller outline of the retreat Click Here.

The retreat is open to leaders with humility: who appreciate that they can only lead and manage others as well as they lead and manage themselves. If you are interested, please Get In Touch.

The Source of Leadership Programme

Being a leader carries huge responsibility. It can be as challenging as it is rewarding. Its impact can be huge. Organisations cannot hope to achieve their long-term objectives if they are led poorly. Furthermore, a typical employee’s contentment, with life in general, not just with work, is often strongly correlated with how they feel they are being led and managed. For the leader too, overarching contentment is often linked to how well they perceive they’re leading. From experience the source of great leadership stems from leaders having a deep and accurate understanding of themselves. It is within this context that mch has developed this programme. The core aim is to enable leaders to lead themselves more effectively and lead others with genuine skill, care and authenticity. To review the programme brochure Click Here.

The Future Leaders Programme

This programme provides the space and support for you to answer two fundamental questions;

“Do I really want to be a leader in a formal sense?”

“How can I be a leader and still be my authentic self?”

The programme also equips you with key leadership skills such as emotional intelligence, negotiation, persuasion, influence, strategy and coaching. You will also gain an understanding of the range of leadership styles, the benefits and drawbacks of each and an appreciation of why the best leaders are able to flex between styles as the situation dictates.

To enable breadth of leadership insight, guest speakers from a variety of backgrounds and sectors can be incorporated into the programme. Previous speakers have included NHS whistle-blowers, former SAS soldiers and Olympic Gold medallists.

The programme can be delivered fully virtually or in person and consists of five or six full days. To find out more, please Get In Touch.

Face to Face and Online

mch delivers training face to face and online. While a significant amount of mch’s face to face training is conducted in Southern England, we travel throughout the United Kingdom. mch also works overseas and has worked in Australia, Spain, Denmark, The Middle East and Ireland. Due to the climate crisis, mch is committed to travelling by train, whenever possible, for face to face work, even for its overseas work.

In-House and Tailored

In addition to working with the training coordinator, mch often contacts each individual participant prior to in-house training, so they can candidly share their most pressing training needs. Respected self-assessments and profiling tools can also be incorporated in advance, so that participants more fully appreciate the importance of the training and its personal relevance. mch also offers participants various reminders in the weeks following the training, so that the content continues to percolate long after the training formally ends. Practical and scientifically proven ways of making development stick are also provided to promote enduring, positive change.
