overview
Support which increases the likelihood of lasting and positive impact.
In addition to working with groups, we provide one to one support in areas such as mentoring and coaching. Our staff development and training must be profitable, however the vision and values of mch are such that we continually reduce our personal financial profits in order to deliver the best possible training. The case study below illustrates this point. Furthermore, the links above outline how the characteristics and formats of our training are genuinely focused on delivering quality, rather than maximising profit.
Case Study: Youth Music Respect Mentors Programme

mch was engaged to train mentors participating in Youth Music's Respect Mentors Programme. During the design phase of the training, we realised the particular importance of providing participants with the opportunity to apply, trial and test new skills. This led to incorporating a significant role play element into the training. We believe that if role plays are not done well, they are a waste of time and so we engaged a professional actor for their delivery.
As the training budget was fixed, the decision to bring in a professional actor led to a reduction in our profits of around 30%. However, the subsequent benefit to the mentors and their mentoring relationships, meant that we were more than comfortable with this decision.
