Dr Mark Hughes is mch's primary trainer and has 10 years of training experience in a variety of roles.

While a consultant at the international firm McKinsey & Company, Mark assisted in the design and delivery of management and leadership training. As Chief Executive of Rumbalara, an Aboriginal sporting and community development organisation, he delivered a significant amount of staff and trustee development training. Since founding mch in 2005, formal and informal training has been a core part of his work.

In addition to delivering training for mentors and designing and delivering mentoring programmes, Mark has nearly a decade of experience of mentoring, whether as a mentor or mentee. While a consultant at McKinsey & Company, Mark took part in peer-mentoring as part of his professional development and was mentored by two members of the local community while Chief Executive of Rumbalara.  A core part of his current role as Non-Executive Director of the not for profit, DECIPHer Impact involves mentoring the organisation's General Manager.

On a voluntary basis, Mark has previously mentored a secondary school teacher through the charity TeachFirst and two winners of Bath University's annual business plan competition. Currently, Mark is mentoring an entrepreneur in The Middle East though the charity Mowgli.

 

Mark is an excellent trainer – so grateful for the opportunity to learn from him.
